From Sharm El Sheikh Mount Moses & St. Catherine’s Monastery Tour 

Mount Sinai (Mount Moses) and St. Catherine’s Monastery are among the most sacred biblical sites in the world. According to tradition, this is the mountain where Prophet Moses received the Ten Commandments from God.

St. Catherine’s Monastery, built over 1,500 years ago, is one of the oldest continuously operating Christian monasteries in the world. Within its grounds stands the Burning Bush, believed to be the very bush through which God spoke to Moses, making this tour a deeply spiritual and historical experience.

Tour Program

Your unforgettable journey begins in the evening around 20:00, when you will be picked up from your hotel in Sharm El Sheikh in a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle.

Upon arrival at the base of Mount Sinai, you will meet a local Bedouin guide, who will accompany you during the climb. The ascent starts around 02:00 AM, following the ancient trail toward the summit at 2,285 meters above sea level.

The climb takes approximately 2–3 hours, depending on your pace. You will walk through the peaceful silence of the night and reach the top just in time to witness a breathtaking sunrise over the Sinai mountains.
For guests who are unable to complete the full climb on foot, a camel ride is available up to the final 750 steps.

After sunrise, you will descend the mountain around 07:00 AM and proceed to visit St. Catherine’s Monastery. Built by Emperor Justinian I, the monastery is dedicated to Saint Catherine, who was martyred for her Christian faith. During your visit, you will also see the Burning Bush, considered a descendant of the original biblical bush.

After the visit, you will enjoy breakfast, then drive back to Sharm El Sheikh, arriving around 13:30 – 14:00.
